# Undo / Redo

FirstStage keeps a stack of every operation as you edit the scene. You can undo operations as far back as when you entered the scene and redo them all the way forward again should you want.

Undo/Redo gives you the confidence to try things out and roll back if it is doesn't work.

## Undo History

The Undo History can be reviewed on the [WristPad](/firststage/basics/wristpad.md): the screen shows a list of edits in order going back in time to the start of the session. Each edit will have a brief description, such as "Create Chair" or "Delete Mocap".

You can click on an edit to rewind back to it or forward to it.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.moviestorm.co.uk/firststage/basics/undo-redo.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
